Distance Learning Program (2020-2021)

We believe that parents are thinking more than ever about how their children will adapt to the new realities of schooling. In order to continue its mission of providing academic excellence during these difficult times, SMPA-5 will be offering distance learning solutions through Online & Virtual classes. We would like to provide you with some additional information to help with this transition.
The academic session 2020-2021 is starting from Monday, 15th June, 2020. In order to keep a constant communication channel with all of our parents, we have created WhatsApp Groups for each individual class and section. The invites for these groups have already been sent via SMS. Important course information and schedules will be sent on these WhatsApp groups.
Based on the distinct learning requirements for different classes, management at SMPA-5 has come up with the following approach to distance learning:
Pre-Nursery – Grade 5:
*Google Classroom platform will be used as a hub for homework assignments, tests, and quizzes. It will also act as a mode of communication between students and their teachers.
*Pre-Recorded interactive videos for individual subjects will be uploaded to YouTube. The link for which will be shared on Google Classroom & WhatsApp Groups.
*Since these platforms are not easily accessible for students of these grades due to their young age, parents are requested to assist them in their routine studies.
*Please note that all assigned work will have to be submitted by the parents at the School Office according to a designated schedule that will be shared on Google Classroom.
*These assignments will be marked, and these marks will be included as part of the students’ Mid-Term exams.
*Our teachers have created video tutorials designed to walk our parents through these platforms. We will be uploading these tutorials on the WhatsApp Groups to further ease this transition.
Grade 6 – 10:
*Google Classroom platform will be used as a hub for homework assignments, tests, and quizzes. It will also act as a mode of communication between students and their teachers.
*Virtual classes will be conducted on the Zoom software. All students are expected to join these sessions as per the given schedule.
*Schedules for these virtual classes will be shared on Google Classroom & WhatsApp Groups.
*Please note that all assigned work will have to be submitted by the parents at the School Office according to a designated schedule that will be shared on Google Classroom.
*These assignments will be marked, and these marks will be included as part of the students’ Mid-Term exams.

Note: Please note that the submission of the assigned coursework is mandatory. These assignments must be submitted by the due date to the School Office. Assignments not submitted on time will lead to a deduction in marks.
